Fixed Cloth Disk Filter

Fixed Disk Cloth Filters systems are designed to pull input water through disk supported industrial cloth filters. These specialty filters capture solids as small as 10 micron. The innovation lies in avoiding operation downtime when cloth filter maintenance is required. Each disk cloth filter can be independently removed for cleaning while other disks remain fully functional. Fixed Disk Cloth Filter applications are scalable and can meet requirements for treatment facilities ranging from 72 gpm to 12,036 gpm.

The Fixed Cloth Disk Filter provides a continuous operating process utilizing a fixed disk and rotating backwash system that is controlled via a relay control panel or PLC. The Fixed Disk Cloth Filter can be used for tertiary filtration, water re-use, process streams, and for surface water treatment.

The fixed disk design reduces the horse power and it allows for the removal of each individual disk while the filter stays in operation. Therefore, each individual disk can be isolated from the others. This will allow the user to provide maintenance without shutting down or draining the system.

All internal or submerged components of the disk filter are corrosion resistant and the disk filter can be built into a concrete structure, or fabricated from tanks constructed of carbon steel, stainless steel, or fiberglass.

Some of the advantages of using a fixed cloth disk filter include, reduced horse power and the ability to remove each individual disk while the filter system remains in operation.

Upflow Sand Filter

The Upflow Sand Filter, used for granular filtration, provides the optimal means for the removal of colloidal and suspended solids. This filter provides a continuous supply of filtered water without the interference to backwash cleaning cycles.

Input water is introduced at the bottom of a cylindrical or rectangular tank filled with high quality sand (“media”). When the water enters it is pushed upward through the dense media. Media captures lingering solid matter. After traveling through the media bed, filtrate exits the Upflow Sand Filter near the top and flows over a fixed weir plate at a constant level.

With the unique upflow design, the majority of the solids remain in the lower portion of the filter bed. The continuously cleaning washbox uses filtered water to wash the media before it returns to the top of the filter bed. The Upflow Sand Filters are available in either circular package models or rectangular and concrete models. Upflow Sand Filters can be designed to treat applications ranging from 10 gpm to 1,000 gpm.
